Research:
I am an experimental physicist interested in understanding the physics of light-matter interactions and their polarization control manipulation for device applications. In my doctoral research, I have experimentally demonstrated the spectral tuning and conversion of coherent perfect scattering to coherent perfect absorption within a precisely engineered anisotropic plasmonic metamaterial using polarization of light as an external degree of freedom to the system. My postdoctoral research at Purdue University includes the experimental characterization of heat polarization and probing violations of Kirchhoff’s law of thermal radiations. My work at the University of Toronto aimed to solve a clinical problem of a real-time intra-operative medical imaging system for determining Brest cancer tumor margin based on nanoparticle-assisted polarization parametric imaging.
My current research interest focuses on understanding quantum materials’ electronic and photonic properties and enables the development of novel nanodevices for quantum technologies.
