This school is designed to immerse you in the current forefront of physics research. You will explore cutting-edge topics across diverse branches, gain early hands-on experience in research projects, data analysis, and scientific writing.   1. Who can register for this Winter School?
    Senior undergraduate students and master’s students in physics or related disciplines are encouraged to register. While we welcome early PhD students, the content is geared towards senior undergraduate and master level students.
  2. Is there any selection process?
    There is no selection process. Anyone interested can register within the deadline and attend.
  3. Is there any prerequisite knowledge required?
    A basic understanding of undergraduate-level physics is expected, and will be helpful for following the lectures and tutorials.
  4. What is the mode of the program?
    The entire program will be conducted online via a secure platform. Links will be shared closer to the date.
  5. What is the registration fee?
    Early Bird (till 1 Nov 2025):
    ₹1000* – Participation Certificate only; ₹1500* – Certificate of Evaluation

    Late Registration (till 1 Dec 2025):
    ₹1500* – Participation Certificate only; ₹2000* – Certificate of Evaluation

    *Exclusive of 18% GST for non-IISc participants
  6. What is included in the “Certificate of Evaluation” option?
    Participants opting for this will receive:
    • Problem-solving exercises
    • Evaluation and feedback
    • Certificate mentioning successful completion of tutorials and evaluation, at the end of the winter school
  7. What is included in the “participation certificate only” option?
    Participants opting for this will receive:
    • Access to all talks and tutorials
    • Participation certificate at the end of the winter school
  8. How do I register?
    Registration will be through the official website (link on the top of this page). Payment details and instructions are also available there.
  9. How to obtain a receipt for the payment?
    After the registration with payment, you will automatically receive a receipt/acknowledgement with the transaction number. If you need additional invoice, please contact us via email.
  10. Will recordings be available?
    Yes, recordings of lectures and tutorials will be provided to all registered participants.
  11. What is the scope of the tutorials section?
    The school includes tutorials and exercises on data analysis and visualization, experimental demos, and computational physics.
